The Capitol Hill Community Council began their review of the draft revised bylaws at the regular monthly meeting of Thursday, Feb. 19th. The Council reviewed draft articles I-XIII.
The SECOND draft review session has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd from 7:15-8:30 PM in the meeting room at the Seattle Police Department's East Precinct at 11519 12th Ave. This meeting is open to the public.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend and contribute to the discussion of the revised bylaws since the document that is ultimately adopted by the Council will help cover the Council's work. This is an open and public process.
No formal action will be taken on the 3rd, rather the Council members will have the opportunity to review the draft submitted by the Bylaws Subcommittee. Members will have the opportunity to recommend changes or revisions before the final draft comes before the Council during the regular monthly meeting on March 19th. A copy of the draft changes is available on the CHCC website main page.
Questions or comments about the draft can be routed to the Subcommittee Chair, Becki Frestedt at bfrestedt @ hotmail (dot) com.
