Sorry it took so long, busy schedule this past week.
Officer Meeting 6/9/08
Thursday has been the traditional day the CHCC meeting has been held, and because it works well with the officer’s schedules, it will continue to meet that day. The 3rd Thursday is preferred, but there will discussion at the full committee meeting if the 2nd or 3rd Thursday works better.
It will be a two hour meeting from 7pm-9pm.
Because Capitol Hill is such a large area it might be a good idea to move the meeting location, but keep the date the same.
Some locations suggested: Miller Community Center, SCCC, Seattle University, Oddfellows Hall.
Not all of these are for sure, just a list of suggestions put on the table.
-22nd of June there will be an info table at the Farmers Market, and one every month the Market is open.
-Capitol Hill Block Party, Saunatina will be seeing into a table.
-Dyke March, Charlette will be getting a banner.
-Talk to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence about a bar hop.
Get people to talk about issues, formalize committees at June meeting.
-Arts and Events (There will be a preliminary meeting on 6/15 for people interested in this council that Charlette will attend.)
-Bylaw (bylaws will be posted online, but have restricted editing so the community can see the progress committee is making to document.)
-While the Board of Advisors is not a committee, there is discussion about getting a Board organized.
Any member or officer of the Capitol Hill Community Council can head a committee.
-We need to get access to the old website the Council was using before it went into hibernation.
-The website capitolhillcommunitycouncil.org is being held for us by Phil Mocek, we just need to see about transferring ownership.
-We need a central address that is easy for people to remember and will be the first thing people find when they do a search for the Council.
-June meeting: bring in a speaker.
-Hong is getting bank account access. Hong and Justin will be the signatories of the account.
-Financial report will be apart of every Council meeting agenda.
-Justin is meeting with Ann Donovan to renew non-profit status.
